| Another party are off in warmer parts (this week it's Peniche in Portugal) but even those left shivering in the cold have loads to look forward to. This week brings news of even more event dates, more video coaching, a call for help and an invitation from our friends in the north... Events Andy at the BSA has offered his services during the Newquay weekend in March for some more free video coaching. We'll aim to keep the groups to a maximum of 4 so places will be limited. It's first come, first served so make sure you get your name to Dave P on Thursday. Next up, Belhaven Surf Club have invited us to enter the "East V West" Surf Competition over the last weekend in March (28th/29th) at Pease Bay on the Scottish east coast. They run the comp every two years which generally involves a number of clubs and universities as well as some locals competing. Teams are made up of 6 with the top 5 scores counting from the categories. Categories 2 open male, 1 open female, 1 longboarder (any gender), 1 bodyboarder (any gender) and a junior(U18) any gender. Neil at Belhaven had offered to help out accommodation. Grab Pete on Thursday if you're interested. Stu's announced details of a club camping trip booked for the Easter weekend at Churchtown Farm, Gwithian, St Ives. You need to sort yourself a camping place but if you let them know you're with the club you'll get a pitch with the group. The contact details are on the forum & events page. Should be a good knees-up. Finally, Sim has put out a call for volunteers to organise trips over the summer months. The proposed venues are Pembroke, Bude, Polzeath & Sennen. If you can help and you know a good place to stay in one of these spots then grab him on Thursday. All in all, spring is starting to look a bit mental. Here's the list so far: Comedy Night: Friday, 20 February. Newquay Weekend: 13th-15th March. Bude weekend: 3rd-5th April. Gwithian Camping Trip: 10th-13th April. Woolacombe/Bristol Interclub Competition. 25th/26th April. As usual all details are on the forum & the events/calendar pages This weeks meeting Business as usual at the Pumphouse this Thursday.
