| BSC Newsletter. 24th June 09 | |
| Hi all. Sorry if you missed last weeks newsletter. I was a bit snowed under and to be honest there wasn't any news to speak of. Were back on track this week with updates on the summer events and news of a summer photo competition.
First up is the Bude trip. The word from Andy is that it's definitely going ahead this weekend. The surf forecast isn't looking too strong but it should be a great weekend on the beach so keep an eye on the forum for any last minute news.
Following that we've got the Summer Barbecue at Victoria Park on the evening of Thursday the 9th. Sim's organising proceedings with military precision as usual and he's still looking for some volunteers so don't stand still in the pub for too long or it will be you. The prize pool for the S.A.S. raffle is looking quite impressive this year and Stu will be collecting membership fees for the 2009/2010 season so remember to bring your pocket money.
After that the next official club trip is the Saunton camping trip on the 17th/18th/19th July. The first 20 members to sign up will get the £10 subsidy so get your name down on the forum and book your pitch at Lobb Fields ASAP.
Finally, to relieve some of the boredom during the flat spells we're running a summer photo competition series over the next couple of months. The deal is this: we pick a theme and you've got 2 weeks to get your photos on the pictures forum. Everyone who enters goes into a draw and the winner gets a funky prize (yet to be decided). Then we pick another theme and do it all over again. Pete got a new van last week so to mark the occasion he's kicking things off. The theme for the first round is 'transport'. Go nuts.
