Surf & Camp Weekend - 3 nights (August Bank Holiday)

Hi All,

This is the next trip in the BSC calendar.. 3 nights in Bude at the Atlantic Camping site. 

This is a clean, tranquil setting and situated back from the Atlantic Highway on the Cornish Coast a few minutes drive from the main surfing beaches of Crooklets, Summerlease and Widemouth Bay. 

Bude and all of its facilities are also a few minutes away by car. Bude has most shops, numerous cafes and restaurants, not to mention more than its share of surfing shops with the very latest merchandise. Bude is an unspoilt area with plenty of space to enjoy all that the North Cornish Coast has to offer.

Camping:

We have been allocated a large field at the back of the site for vans and tents. If you would prefer another options i.e. bell tents, then please book these via the website.

Surf hire/lessons:

For surf hire, please refer to this link; surf-hire shops and there are surf schools and on most of the beaches where you can get surf lessons with all equipment is provided.

Location Details:

There are a lot of beaches to surf from here in both directions so dependent on the wind and swell direction.

Member Details:

We are a friendly bunch so just ask if you need help or any other information onsite.

It is good to make contact with other members before you leave, so use the WhatsApp group for lift shares and to meet people who are at the same standard of surfing.

N.B. Anyone breaking the site rules will be asked to leave and could get banned from future events.

Check out is usually 11am but I will confirm that for Sunday morning.

All extra activities are taken at your own risk and you will not be covered by the BSC insurance.

PLEASE LEAVE NO TRACE at the campsite and beach.

Remember to be kind and inclusive to all members. We welcome all genders and cultures, in fact I don’t know a better bunch of lovely people, so if you are struggling in any way then don’t be afraid to come and chat to one of the Committee members.
